The 9th International Banking Forum was successfully held, organized by the Azerbaijan Banks Association and in partnership with AzFina.

Together with our members, we actively participated in the forum and discussed the opportunities for cooperation between banks and fintechs, as well as the directions of implementing innovations in the financial sector. This created a valuable opportunity for the formation of new partnerships that will contribute to the development of the ecosystem.

At the panel “From Open Banking to Open Finance: Building a Connected Data Ecosystem”, AzFina Board Chairman Edgar Abdullayev and Board Member Rasim Khammadov shared their valuable ideas on open banking, data integration and increasing cross-sector synergy. Their speeches focused on the key trends accelerating the transition to new generation financial services.

Overall, the forum became a broad and effective platform for discussing important areas such as the cashless economy, accelerating digital transformation, the role of financial technologies, digital banking solutions, as well as ecosystem-based innovative approaches.

We believe that such events will contribute to the sustainable development of the financial sector, as well as closer cooperation between banks and fintechs.
